An Exclusive Culinary Collaboration in Mayfair
Sabrina Gidda’s early career began in Fashion PR and Marketing, before she realised her true passion lay in food and culinary innovation. Having had no formal training, she began as a stagiaire at The Dorchester, successfully ran two gastropubs, and subsequently took over The Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden. She then led kitchens across numerous prestigious City firms as Executive Chef. Her eclectic journey into the culinary world is driven by unwavering dedication to her craft, boundless ambition, and a profound desire to work with exceptional ingredients.
A Celebrated Culinary Journey
She twice competed in the prestigious Roux Scholarship competition in 2014/15, to the final best 6 contestants nationally on both occasions – the only woman on both occasions.
She later opened Bernardi’s in Marylebone, proving instrumental in securing their culinary accolades. It was here that Tatler Magazine awarded her ‘Rising Star’ in 2016 for her inventive and unrestricted approach to Italian cookery. Under her tenure, Bernardi’s was recognised in the Michelin Guide and noted as one of London’s finest Italian dining destinations by both Condé Nast and SquareMeal.
Throughout her journey, Sabrina has frequently combined her love of writing and cooking, contributing recipes to numerous magazines. Her approachable yet innovative culinary style ensures her recipes are easy to follow and delightful to savour. Over the years, Sabrina has contributed to various editorial publications, appeared as a judge on MasterChef, and competed in Great British Menu—earning a perfect score for her outstanding fish dish from acclaimed chefs Paul Ainsworth and Daniel Clifford.
Sabrina also served as Executive Chef of AllBright, a prestigious women’s members’ club based in London and Los Angeles. Her work there was instrumental in elevating the club’s hospitality offering, forging notable partnerships with BMW, Belu Water, Tiffany, WaterAid, and Women for Women International.
She continues to champion women in food, drink, and hospitality through her own consultancy, collaborating with clients such as The Hoxton, Ennismore, and the Open House Group. Her eclectic, global approach to cooking enables her to creatively realise food concepts for those seeking her expertise. Currently consulting on a range of exciting new projects across London and Europe, she most recently launched the new Hoxton Lloyd in Amsterdam. Her highly anticipated debut cookbook, Modern South Asian Kitchen, was published in March 2023
