Nick Nairn is a renowned chef and television personality. He initially served as a navigator in the Merchant Navy before transitioning to the culinary world, despite having no formal training. Nairn became the youngest Scottish chef to earn a Michelin star.
He gained national recognition through his appearances on BBC’s “Ready Steady Cook,” which started in 1995. He later presented shows such as “Wild Harvest” and “Island Harvest.” In 2000, he established the Nick Nairn Cook School at the Lake of Menteith. Here, he offers hands-on classes that focus on Scottish cuisine and cooking techniques.
